Ok I figured I’d do an about me page. I have most stuff about me kinda on the main page.

I was born in the 70’s which means I am in my 30’s. I am single.(No, that isn’t always a bad thing). I am owned by 1 adorable chinchilla. I rarely drink, don’t do drugs, I do on occasion smoke cigarettes not often anymore. I am not a fan of underage drinking (yeah I am looking at most of you tumblrs out there), I did have a few drinks when I was young but I think I can count on one hand how often I was actually drunk in my life.

I am from Chicago. My favorite color is purple.

I tend to reblog a lot. Partially because I find other users content more interesting than my own original stuff. 

The quotes and music I blog usually have some meaning for me. An ex-boyfriend always said I spoke to him in music lyrics. If I couldn’t find the right words I’d send him a song or a quote.

I can be fickle in who I follow. I tend to follow who follows me, but if something posted or said rubs me the wrong way I will unfollow. Lately with these “promote me” or “follow for follow” things I really check out someone’s tumblr before I hit follow. If you have a million ask replies I will most likely not follow.

I am straight, but I am a huge supporter of equal rights for EVERYONE. Hey, if the hetero’s can ruin the sanctity of marriage, (hello 52 hr marriages in vegas), then why shouldn’t two people who actually love each other be able to get married???

I am a feminist. No, I do not hate men. I love men.

I will not apologize for my opinions on things. If you agree with what I’ve said cool, but if not that is cool too, it’s your right to not agree with me. I admit I am fairly opinionated and I know not everyone agrees with me. I also try to practice what I preach. Also since I am not a teen I have done things and have a bit of life experience so I do kinda know what I am talking about.

I try not to be an annoying fan girl. Yes, sometimes I post multiple things from a certain topic/show/whatever but I try not to be annoying about it. I tend not to jump on bandwagons. I typically shy away from “tumblr popular” things. I don’t blog things here to be popular (if it happens hey that’s cool but if it doesn’t that’s also cool)… I blog things here for myself. What I enjoy. I am comfortable enough with myself that I don’t need validation from anonymous people from the internets. I guess that comes with age and my being older than most tumblr users.

I am not a prude… far from it in fact.. but I do believe there is a time and a place for everything. If you need to post a million pics of yourself and your half naked body to gain followers or those gratuitous “I’m so ugly” so here is a million pics of me half naked or in my underwear posts. I will unfollow you. I know most of it comes from lack of self confidence and needing validation but I am in my 30s that childish sort of thing annoys the fuck out of me. Also, since most people on tumblr are teenagers, it creeps me out (since I am old enough to be some tumblrs mother). Don’t forget ladies (and gents) this is the internet age and photos like this can and will follow you around for the rest of your life, so think about that before you hit post. I guess if I “needed” that sort of validation I’d have pictures of myself plastered all over my blog here. I don’t need this blog to be about looks or what I look like or whatever. I want it to be about the person I am inside and not my outer shell.
